DETERGENTS / WETTING AGENTS

There are many classifications of muds or drilling fluid systems, including water-based, oil based, emulsion and air or gas-based. Oil-based drilling muds show improvements over standard water muds in the areas of increased drilling rate and bit life, reduction in hole problems, reduction in torque, less sticking of pipe, and less hole enlargement. Special emulsifiers and additives are used in these drilling fluid systems to provide a host of functions, including emulsification, oil wetting, viscosity & fluid loss controls.

Dew products has lower viscosity, 67-72% active liquid comprised of modified polyamide in naphthenic oil that functions as emulsifier and wetting agent in oil-based drilling muds. Provides excellent emulsification, high electrical stability and desired filtrate control. Product can be diluted with base fluids to make desired field strength formulation.

Dew has been manufacturing and supplying emulsifiers for the Oilfield Industry. Below is a list of our basic products serving the industries.

Emulsifiers

Dew emulsifiers are suitable to produce highly stable invert emulsion fluid with excellent emulsion stability, preferential wetting of solids by the continuous oil phase, filtration control and temperature stability. They are extremely effective over a wide range of oil/water ratios and mud weights. Available for all kinds of base oils and as concentrates.

Wetting Agents

They are designed to wet materials and drill solids to prevent water-wet solids. They improve thermal stability, rheological stability, filtration control and emulsion stability while improving the fluids resistance to contamination. Available for all kinds of base oils (Diesel oils, mineral oils, synthetic oils).

Detergents

They are special formulations tailored to clean casing and production tubing. They effectively remove and encapsulate solids, such as barite, clay and sand. Mainly used in top hole sections to minimize bit and Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) balling, to reduce the surface tension, to aid in dropping sands and in the removal of drill solids. They improve water wetting action on all solids, thereby reducing the sticking tendency of reactive shale cuttings, wall packing and bit balling.
